Business Support Pack
The new Love Chesterfield campaign has been launched by Chesterfield Borough Council, in partnership with Destination Chesterfield, to support the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors in Chesterfield.
Centred around Chesterfield town centre, and the borough’s high streets and shopping areas, the campaign is encouraging people to seek out Chesterfield’s shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – whether that be revisiting an old favourite or discovering something new.
The Love Chesterfield business support pack gives you the tools to support the promotion of the town and promote your businesses through the campaign.
Head over to www.chesterfield.gov.uk/love-chesterfield to discover more about the campaign.
Here are 5 easy ways your business can get involved with the Love Chesterfield Campaign.
1. Use #lovechesterfield on social media channels
Social media plays an important role in supporting businesses by driving footfall and ultimately increasing sales.
Remember that social media isn’t just about broadcasting, it is about community, listening and engagement. Interact with your customers and other businesses in the town, share , like, comment on content that fits with your companies ethos or your customers or is promoting good things that are happening in the area. The way social media algorithms work, the more engagements they have the further they are shared and the more people see them.
Make sure you use #lovechesterfield and support the town.
We will be monitoring, engaging with and sharing content to support our promotion of Chesterfield.
2. Encourage your customers and staff to sign up for the Love Chesterfield E-Newsletter
3. Send us your news stories and promote your events and activities with us.
If you have any positive news stories or events or activities happening please do share them with Josh.Marsh@chesterfield.co.uk and he will consider them for inclusion on the www.chesterfield.co.uk website and Destination Chesterfield’s social media activity.
You may want to send your news stories to the local media as well:

- Derbyshire Live
- BBC Radio Sheffield
- Spire Radio
If you are planning events and activities please do send it across to Josh.Marsh@chesterfield.co.uk and he will consider for inclusion on the www.chesterfield.co.uk website and social media activity.
