Community Trust Nurturing Fans of the Future

Schools who agree a partnership with the Chesterfield F.C. Community Trust are able to take advantage of match ticket deals. For a recent fixture at the Proact Stadium, 2,000 free tickets were made available to youngsters, meaning that 14 schools were represented.

The ticket offers have been well received, resulting in some attending a game at the Proact for the first time, proving the worth of such initiatives. The feedback following one fixture last season which featured a ticket deal revealed that 38% of those taking advantage of the incentive were attending their first ever Chesterfield match.

For another fixture, around 900 tickets were distributed and 88% of the people who received the tickets said they would not have attended the match if they had not been offered the ticket deal.

John Croot, CEO of the Community Trust, said: “It is vital as a club that we nurture supporters of the future and the Community Trust has a vital role to play in this. At a time when football ticket prices have come under the microscope, we are helping to make football more accessible for people who may otherwise be unable to attend matches.”

Is your child’s school a Community Trust partner? If not, you may consider encouraging the school to talk to the Trust about a partnership. Please email michaelnoon@chesterfield-fc.co.uk for further details.
