Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service
Derbyshire Addictions Advice Service (DAAS) is a registered charity providing services as part of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership. We work to improve the lives of people in Chesterfield and Derbyshire affected by Substance Misuse.
DAAS is at the forefront of alcohol service provision in Chesterfield, maintaining this position for over 30 years. Working closely with a range of partner organisations, DAAS ensures those with alcohol problems and their families can access advice, information, and counselling free of charge.
One service provided is the CPDUK-accredited alcohol and substance misuse awareness training. This is targeted at professionals in Chesterfield and Derbyshire. The training is free for health and well-being workers in Derbyshire. Anyone working outside Derbyshire wishing to access the training can for a small fee.
Another service being delivered is a BACP-accredited counselling service, specialising in early trauma, addiction, dependency, and substance misuse.

Additionally, Derbyshire Alcohol Advice Service (DAAS) run an exciting veteran health and wellbeing project titled STAND TO. Part of the service is a single point of contact for veterans called the VIP (veteran information point). It provides access to advice, information and support from a fellow veteran, as well as links to a network of veteran volunteer opportunities, recovery activities and a comprehensive database of veteran specific support.
