Heritage Open Days – Tour of the Mayor’s Parlour and Council Chamber
Do you fancy seeing ‘behind the scenes’ of the mayor’s parlour and council chamber?
Chesterfield residents are welcome to visit the mayor’s parlour and council chamber this September, as the council open the doors to celebrate Heritage Open Days in the borough.
Every September, organisations and volunteers across the country organise events to celebrate the country’s history and culture, and residents can book to get a ‘behind the scenes’ tour of the mayor’s parlour.
The mayor and consort, Councillor Glenys Falconer and Councillor Keith Falconer, will be on hand to talk about the mayor’s parlour and their roles at the council, including chairing full council meetings and the duties they carry out on a weekly basis.
Light refreshments will be provided during the events.
