Unlocking New Possibilities Careers Event
Want to attract new talent? Register your interest for the Unlocking New Possibilities Careers Event to learn all about inclusive recruitment.
The next BME Employment and Skills Event will be taking place following a successful event last year with 35 employers supporting and 130+ individuals.
The event aims to create connections between talented individuals from black and minority ethnic (BME) communities and local employers. It also hopes to foster diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
Derbyshire is home to over 50,000 residents from BME communities. This event taps into this diverse talent pool, and wishes to attract employers from a range of sectors as well as training providers and organisations providing advice and support.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Meet candidates face to face, understand what an inclusive workforce is and gain meaningful insights into local BME communities.
- Showcase the guidance and support you can provide members of BME communities in employment. Including raising awareness of your current vacancies, and training opportunities or highlighting the services you offer.
- Engage in workshops and presentations delivered by guest speakers.
- Enjoy refreshments and network with delegates.
So, if you want to supercharge your recruitment process this year and be part of this inclusive recruitment process here in Derbyshire, confirm your interest in attending by contacting Dan Ashmore before COP Friday 28th June 2024.
This is an open-to-all Careers Event that aims to foster diversity and inclusion within the workforce.
Organised by DWP, Derbyshire County Council, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Links CVS, Chesterfield College and East Midlands Chamber in partnership with the Derbyshire BME Forum.
