
How well do you know 16th-century life? At Hasland Village Hall, they’re hosting an interactive Tudor exhibition to give you an insight into Tudor life. Including what the clothes were like, what activities they did, how medicine was practised, and what food they ate.
Events to look out for
This exhibition takes place over two weeks, with special entertainment featuring on certain days.
A British Sign Language interpreter will be available to assist on Saturday 5th April between 11am and 2pm.
Meet a Tudor Surgeon – 5th April
Feeling under the weather? Come and meet the Tudor surgeon who will diagnose your illness and recommend some period treatments, including everything from herbs to leeches!
Discover the gory details of Tudor medicine and marvel at the display of surgical equipment used in the Tudor period, including replicas from the surgeon’s cabin on the Mary Rose.
Tasty Tudor Treats – 12th April
Discover food and feasting 16th-century style and have a go at making some tasty Tudor gingerbread.
