Experience Chesterfield Campaign
The campaign will develop activity to support the Chesterfield Borough Council Visitor Economy Strategy and work with Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire and Chesterfield Borough Council, to support visitor economy activity and ensure that the Chesterfield brand is represented.
Discussions will continue with Chesterfield Borough Council regarding Destination Chesterfield’s role in marketing Chesterfield as a place to visit including some activity in the UKSPF Plan for tourism marketing.
Work will continue on the ‘Love Chesterfield Campaign including the Summer in Chesterfield and Christmas in Chesterfield activity, targeting the retail catchment and day visitor market to enjoy Chesterfield for their leisure time.
There is an opportunity – with the structural changing happening in the visitor economy offer – to reposition Chesterfield as the ‘Base for the Peak District’ as an opportunity to grow the visitor economy market and attract more staying visitors as new development around Peak, Chesterfield Waterside and improvements in the town centre and regeneration at Staveley take place.
Destination Chesterfield will support where appropriate the promotion and development of Chesterfield as a visitor destination and will deliver campaigns and coordination of activity on behalf of partners where appropriate.
