Make a date for a midnight dance with destiny at the Chesterfield Pantomime!
Down on her luck and cursed with evil stepsisters, Cinderella’s destiny is in the hands of her best friend Buttons, the magic of a Fairy Godmother and a clock that strikes midnight.
Pantomime comedy, calamities and chaos from larger-than-life colourful characters help tell the story, with the end of act one cumulating in a spectacular scene where Cinderella magically transforms from her rags to Princess riches and steps into the carriage that will take her to Prince Charming’s ball.
The first of the star cast has been announced, with much-loved CBeebies Katrina Bryan taking on the role of the iconic Fairy Godmother! Well-known for her roles as Nina in the award-winning series Nina and the Neurons and Alice in the hit show Molly & Mack, Katrina also plays social worker Eloise in Emmerdale, with other TV credits including Taggart, Fried and Sea of Souls.
Also joining the cast as Dandini is Strictly Come Dancing professional, Dancing on Ice Winner, personal trainer and TV personality James Jordan! James has also appeared in The Full Monty (ITV), Celebrity Catchprase, Celebrity Coach Trip and Celebrity Big Brother.
Oliver Gray and Dean Horner are also joining the cast, stepping into the heels of the stepsisters!
Please note that the performance may contain haze, low fog, smoke, flashing lights, loud noises, pyrotechnical charges and effects.

Relaxed
Fri 27 Dec 2pm
A relaxed performance and is adapted for those with learning disabilities and other sensory and communication needs. Relaxed performances are also a great way to introduce little ones to panto. We make small adjustments to the technical aspects of the show so it is a gentler experience. The volume is slightly lower and some special effects such as strobe lighting are removed. The production may still contain haze, some use of low fog and some lighting effects. To provide a more relaxed and supportive atmosphere, the house lights remain partially lit and the doors to the auditorium remain open. Safe spaces are made available in other areas of the venue for those who may want to take a break from the performance.
