Chesterfield Santa Fun Run & Walk

Organised by Cannon Events since 2016, the Chesterfield Santa Fun Run features participants dressed in Santa suits running around the park, with a 1500m race (10am) and another one of 5k (10.30am).

This year’s Santa Fun Run will take place on Sunday 22nd December in Queens Park Chesterfield.

There will be a children’s 1500m course which is 3 .5 laps around the Cricket Pitch.

The 5k starts with a lap of the Cricket pitch then just over 4 laps on the outer path of the park  Both races finish in front of the Cricket Pavilion.

Run start times are:

  • 10:15am for the 1.5k, with a warm up session at 10:00am
  • 10:45am for the 5k, with a warm up session at 10:30am

All entries include a Santa Suit

Each finisher will receive a Commemorative medal talong with Xmas chocolates or sweets.

Entry Fees are as follows:

  • Adult aged 16+ – £14 with Santa Suit (£10 without)
  • Children aged 11-15 – £9 with Santa Suit (£5 without)
  • Children aged up to 10 – £7 with Santa Suit (£3 without)

Santa Suit will be available to collect prior to race day, from Ashgate Hospice Fundraising Centre, Unit 89, Storforth Lane trading Estate, Hasland, Chesterfield, S41 0SN.

  • Thursday 19th December 1pm – 6pm
  • Saturday 21st December 11am -2pm

Those entrants providing their own Santa Suit can collect race number from the Cricket Pavilion from 9am on race day.

No entries will be taken on the day, the closing date for online entries is noon 20th December or before if 700 limit is reached.
