Harry Hudson – Addooco IT
Name: Harry Hudson
Age: 26
Employer: Addooco IT
Apprenticeship: Level 3 Infrastructure Technician
Harry previously studied at Chesterfield College, after which he went onto full-time work eventually moving into the role of coffee shop supervisor.
It was when Harry’s partner started an apprenticeship that inspired him to do one himself and use it as a stepping stone into a new career.
He explained: “I wanted to do something more meaningful in an industry I’m passionate about, so I decided to go for the apprenticeship with Addooco IT.
“My family was very supportive through it all too, it was a big change for a lot of reasons but was most definitely the right move. The chance to work and learn at the same time, improving and developing my real career possibilities, definitely appealed to me.
“In my role, I’m learning something new every day and I never get bored. That’s what I like the most about the apprenticeship.”
Harry is now looking into further education, through either Level 4 or a degree, and wants to continue developing his career with Addooco.
Thinking about an apprenticeship? Harry’s advice…
“Take the plunge. Find something you enjoy and are good at and dive in headfirst – it’s so fulfilling.”
