Millymopsmaids
Millymopsmaids provides a professional cleaning service to commercial properties, domestic homes, holiday lets and end of tenancy cleaning. Other services available include mould removal, window cleaning, oven cleaning, carpet cleaning upholstery cleaning and car valeting. All staff have professional training and DBS checks, ensuring all services are carried out to the highest standards.
Sarah and Laurie, a mother and daughter duo, launched Millymopsmaids in 2023 and run and own the company. Sarah comments “We experienced a personal tragedy which inspired us to make our dream a reality. With over 25 years of cleaning experience, we decided to bring this wealth of expertise to Chesterfield and surrounding communities and have been working very hard over the last two years to build our business”.
Laurie adds “Our business really is a family concern, and we pride ourselves on the professional services we offer. My dad Terry offers a car valeting service also carpet and oven cleaning. Jamie, my partner offers window cleaning and gutter clearing. My Nan, Georgina and sister, Chloe help with our commercial cleaning customers. We’ve recently welcomed Helen onboard. Although not family, Helen fits in comfortably with our ethos to offer a professional service. We are looking forward to welcoming an additional member of the team in May. This will allow us to continue to grow our business and reach out to even more customers, both commercial and domestic”.
Last year Millymopsmaid won Best Cleaning Company in Derbyshire and best start-up company for the Domestic Cleaning Industry Networks Awards. Sarah and Laurie expressed their pride in continuing to contribute to Chesterfield and are looking forward to continued success. “We have also developed excellent links with a local organisation who support vulnerable adults in the community. We are called to clean their houses and do so with sensitivity and empathy. It’s important to us to treat individuals with dignity and respect. We love knowing we make a difference in peoples’ lives”.
