Samba Sports Coaching

Founded in 2017, Samba Sports Coaching, owned by four friends—Brad Jones, Ben Townsend, Carl Vickers, and Ben Moss—is a company with a passion for sports coaching and physical education. This group of directors, all proud locals of Chesterfield, are not just business owners but community-driven individuals who genuinely care about the well-being of their town and the opportunities they provide.

Over the past seven years, Samba Sports Coaching has grown tremendously, with its roots deeply embedded in supporting Chesterfield’s young people. From launching tailored programs like “Samba Tots” for children aged 2-4, to delivering high-quality sports provision in numerous primary schools. The company has shown an unwavering commitment to bringing people together and promoting the importance of physical activity to all age ranges.

Carl Vickers, one of the directors, highlights their popular holiday clubs, stating, “Our reputation for delivering high-quality holiday clubs in Chesterfield is 5-star. Over the last five years, we’ve had the privilege of providing fun and structured childcare to many local families, offering affordable football and multi-sports activities for children aged 4-12 years.”

Brad Jones, another director and a PE teacher at a SEN school, is particularly proud of Samba Sports’ inclusive approach, catering to children of all abilities. “Our focus at Samba Sports is on creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment for every child. We are thrilled to now have a grassroots junior football club, ‘Samba FC,’ which is a not-for-profit community-based initiative where boys and girls can play, learn, and enjoy participating in grassroots football!
