Chesterfield hair and beauty salon expands into new town centre premises

Chesterfield-based hair and beauty salon, Autumn House has announced an exciting expansion in the town centre.

It paves the way for the business to open a whole new range of services, enabling it to offer a full range of party and events packages and even a bar for customers.

In addition, owner Hayley Milner is looking to deliver hair training courses on a larger scale and is looking for new stylists and beauty therapists to join the team.

Commenting on the move, Hayley said: “Moving into the town centre into such a big building, after being in what was essentially a two-bedroom terrace turned into a salon for the last 5 and a half years, was incredibly scary.

“But myself and the girls I work with are so excited to be in and working, now the renovation is finished. We were at full capacity in the last space we had, and with the amount of footfall passing by, hopefully we will attract some new clients.”

Hayley also spoke about why she loves having her business based in the town: “I love my business being based in Chesterfield, as all of my new shop neighbours have been so friendly and supportive.

“Obviously my clientele is mainly from Chesterfield and they’re all so lovely. I wouldn’t move my salon anywhere else!

“It’s so important for people to continue to support small and local businesses, especially at the moment. I always try and buy from fellow smaller businesses where I can, instead of the huge chains. You’re supporting someone’s dream and their family.

“My clients are amazing, and most have been with me since day one, supporting and pushing my business.”

The Goldsmith Clinic adds to growing team with new therapist

The Goldsmith Clinic in Chesterfield has recently added to its team, by taking on Rebecca Davies as a Level 3 therapist.

Established in 2015 in the Ashgate area, The Goldsmith Clinic moved onto Lordsmill Street in Chesterfield Town Centre in 2019, where it has continued to grow despite the challenges to businesses caused by the recent Covid-19 pandemic.

The clinic recently opened two new treatment rooms in order to keep up with customer demand, and the recruitment of Rebecca enables the business to continue growing its client base, while expanding the range of treatments available.

Rebecca is born and raised in Chesterfield, having gained qualifications and experience at Chesterfield College. She explained how enjoyable it has been since taking up the role at The Goldsmith Clinic: “We have lots of lovely clients coming in, it feels like a real community so it’s really nice. Coming into the clinic, Theresa has given me a lot of support, and everyone else who has worked here has supported me to become a better therapist.

“Since starting here, I’ve learned how to carry out lots of new treatments and I’m looking to progress even more as time goes on.”

Theresa Goldsmith, owner of The Goldsmith Clinic said: “Becky specialises in all manner of promoting good skin health, including HydraFacial, radio frequency facials, Obagi facials and she’s about to embark on training for skin needling. She has come on board and added a lot of new services to what we already provide.”

The Goldsmith Clinic supports the marketing and economic growth of the town through Chesterfield Champions, a network of over 190 organisations across Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.

A new beauty salon is set to open in Chesterfield town centre, following a deal completed by commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors.

Acting on behalf of Entain, NG Chartered Surveyors has leased the 861 sq ft 39 Low Pavement, which was previously a betting shop, to Brows, which will be opening in the town as part of a national expansion plan.

“Our new store will be a great addition to our current portfolio and we want to make it into the number one destination for brow and lash in Chesterfield. No appointments are required, just pop in and speak to one of our qualified beauticians who will help find the treatment that is perfect for you.”

Sunny Landa, of NG Chartered Surveyors commented: “This is another great outcome for our client, who we continue to work with across the Midlands and North.

“Chesterfield is on the up and I’m sure Luke and his team will be hugely successful in the town. We wish them all the best with their national expansion plans.”

Luke added: “We had a great time working with Sunny, who is very professional and proficient, to enable us to navigate our way through to completion of our new shop. We look forward to working with Sunny and the NG team on future projects.”
