Award-winning Chesterfield entrepreneur to unveil new ‘Business Lounge,’ aiming to boost business growth

Business growth and support company, Great2, is hosting a launch event on Tuesday 15th November 2022, 4-6pm to unveil a new Business Lounge at their coworking space Great2Work in Chesterfield.

The new lounge at Hayfield House (on Devonshire Street, off Holywell Street) is thought to be the first of its kind in the area.

The event will hear speakers including Dom Stevens of Destination Chesterfield introducing the space, Beverley Beck (a member of the coworking space and supporter of the business) and Andy Ball CEO of Great2 who will explain the ethos behind Great2 and why he is so passionate about helping local businesses to grow.

There will also be time to network with local businesspeople over free drinks and nibbles. There will be a raffle with prizes including a month of free hot-desking at the coworking space, a free business lounge membership for a month, a bottle of Prosecco plus other great prizes. Great2Work’s Front of House, Hannah Finney, will also be conducting tours of the building including the coworking space, training rooms and meeting rooms so that attendees can see how we are encouraging businesses into the town.

The Business Lounge was developed to attract freelancers, micro and small businesses to the town centre. Giving them a comfortable place to go for informal meetings with colleagues or clients and a place to work from in between meetings. With a monthly membership, you can come and go as you please (no need to book). WiFi is included and there’s an ‘honesty box’ for refreshments.

Andy Ball, CEO of Great2 commented: “My vision for Great2 is to become the ‘go-to’ partner for local businesses who want to grow sustainably and make a difference. Our new business lounge is a first for Chesterfield and our aim is to give local businesspeople a professional, flexible and comfortable place to work from – keeping businesses in the town and using town centre facilities. The business lounge alongside our coworking space and business support services allows Great2 to provide a full suite of tools to help local businesses grow.”

Dom Stevens, Destination Chesterfield Manager said: “I look forward to updating on the regeneration of Chesterfield at the Great2Work Open House Event.  Great 2 are one of many independent companies that have decided to Invest in Chesterfield over the past couple of years and make the town their home.”

Great2Work launches initiative giving businesses the chance to trial co-working space for free

Chesterfield’s Great2Work has unveiled the launch of a new ‘golden ticket’ scheme, giving local businesses and start-ups the chance to try out their innovative co-working space.

The team at Great2Work are giving out a Golden Ticket to 10 individuals, which is a free Day Pass to use the co-working space in Chesterfield. Once that person has used it, they then pass it on to someone who they know that can then use the free Day Pass.

Based at Hayfield House on Devonshire Street, the vibrant community at Great2Work enjoys access to a wide range of amenities, support services, meeting rooms, networking and social events as part of their flexible membership plans.

Ideal for local small businesses and entrepreneurs, the professional and friendly environment and services help people connect, collaborate and work productively.

Lynne Pope, Social Media and Content Specialist at Great2Work commented: “Our ethos at Great2 is to nurture small businesses – to help them grow by providing office and meeting space alongside business support services. This Golden Ticket promotion raises awareness of who we are and how we can help by encouraging local businesses to come into our coworking office and to meet our talented team.

“Introducing more businesses to our community and to coworking will undoubtedly lead to opportunities that otherwise may not have happened – we know small businesses often grow through building their networks and relationships.

“Plus, it’s always nice to get a freebie – especially from a friend or someone you know and trust. We’re asking people to pass on the tickets once they’ve used them to people in their networks that they think will benefit from a day at Great2Work”.

‘Wellness Wednesday’ initiative launched by Great2

A Chesterfield business which provides quality co-working spaces for budding entrepreneurs, alongside a plethora of advice and support has launched a new initiative to focus on the wellbeing of its members.

Great2 is now hosting ‘Wellness Wednesday’ events, providing the Great2 network with weekly yoga sessions, hosted by Chesterfield’s Holy Cow Yoga.

Great2Work member Becka Tung commented: “The yoga class that Great2 offers not only helps me clear my mind and gives me a mid-week boost, it also gives me an incentive to come in to the office and see everyone! It is a lovely team building activity and I’ve become a lot closer to colleagues who I ordinarily wouldn’t interact with that much. It’s a lovely perk, thanks Great2!”

The launch follows the success of Trough Tuesdays, which provide members with opportunities to socialise and network in an informal setting, while enjoying a spot of lunch.

Speaking on the launch of Wellness Wednesday, Lynne Pope, Social Media and Content Specialist at Great2 said: “At Great2 we believe that an individual’s wellbeing is essential to a company’s wellbeing. The last 2 years have been tough on everyone so now, more than ever, we need to ensure we care for the wellbeing of our employees and Great2Work coworking members.

“Our coworking space in Chesterfield is not just an office, it is a place where we want entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow and thrive. Our members need balance between working hard and looking after themselves, which is often difficult to achieve. This is why we put on our Wellness Wednesday events and also provide fresh fruit in the coworking office every day.”

Businesses wishing to attend can register for membership by emailing enquiries@great2.co.uk. Flexible membership packages are available to suit various needs.
