Prestigious Legal 500 listing for Chesterfield’s CMP Legal

CMP Legal, a niche commercial law firm based in Chesterfield has been ranked in the prestigious Legal 500.

The company is the only law firm based in Chesterfield to be recognised in the Corporate and Commercial: Elsewhere in East Midlands category.

Banner Jones Retains Prestigious Legal 500 Rankings for 12th Year

Chesterfield’s Banner Jones Solicitors has secured its place in the esteemed Legal 500 directory for the 12th consecutive year in recognition of its ongoing dedication to providing outstanding, client-centric legal services.

The firm’s Family Law and Care teams have once again been awarded Tier 2 status, with Kelly Parks, head of the Family Law team, and senior solicitor Shetal Gudgeon both named as recommended lawyers.

The team was praised for handling a broad spectrum of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, children’s cases, and nuptial agreements, with the directory highlighting their expertise and sensitivity in navigating complex family issues.

On the Care Law side, the team’s core focus continues to be representing clients in care proceedings brought by local authorities, as well as in adoption, special guardianships, and Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings.

Banner Jones Solicitors secures place in prestigious Legal 500 directory

Chesterfield law firm Banner Jones has secured a place in the prestigious Legal 500 directory for the 11th year, with both the firm’s Family Law and Personal Injury teams maintaining their Tier 2 rankings.

Led by head of practice, Kelly Parks, with input and support from children law senior solicitor, Shetal Gudgeon, this year’s directory recognised the family team for its work dealing with complex divorce and financial cases.

The firm was also referred to as being ‘highly experienced representing children in care proceedings’, naming solicitor and head of care Vince Beckworth alongside senior associate, Jason Burnett, who both act on behalf of parents and individuals intervening in care proceedings, and in disputes concerning residence, contact arrangements for children, adoption and prohibited steps.

Banner Jones’ award-winning personal injury department, headed up by Sarah Sadler, also retained its position, with the directory describing the team as ‘vastly experienced and capable’, with particular expertise in employers and public liability, road traffic, disease and serious injuries or loss of life.

Work highlights cited by the Legal 500 included acting for the joiner who fell down an open stairwell resulting in catastrophic, life changing injuries. As well as a representing a client in a complicated clinical negligence matter, where the negligence caused prolonged psychological trauma.

Banner Jones Solicitors retains ‘Leading Firm’ status in the UK Legal 500

Chesterfield-based Banner Jones’ Family Law and Personal Injury teams have retained their Tier 2 ranking in this year’s Legal 500 for the 9th year in a row.

The annual publication, which assesses the strengths of law firms across the world, is acknowledgement of the continued great work of Banner Jones over the last 12 months, and the quality of the services they provide.

A full-service firm which covers all aspects of family law, Banner Jones’ award-winning family law department consists of two specialist teams; a family law team and a care proceedings team.

Known for its customer service led approach, the firm represents a range of private clients including individuals eligible for legal aid through to high-value business owners.

As part of this year’s Legal 500 ranking, work highlights included the management of a complex care proceedings matter involving identification of a parent outside jurisdiction, as well as acting in a financial remedy case worth £1.5m.
