Chesterfield’s Pinewood Property Estates receives prestigious ‘Standard of Excellence’ for fifth year running

A Chesterfield Estate agency has once again been recognised as one of the best in the UK, achieving the prestigious ESTAS ‘Standard of Excellence’ for the fifth year in a row.

Pinewood Property Estates has recieved the accolade based on the service ratings they achieved via customer reviews, submitted to the ESTAS review platform.

The reviews have been completed at the end of the moving experience, and ESTAS monitors service ratings over a 12 month period. It gives a highly accurate overview of the standard of service that has been delivered to customers.

The ESTAS ‘Standard of Excellence’ provides a kitemark, demonstrating the consistent service performance of every firm that has been shortlisted in 2023.

The ESTAS Awards honour the best agents, conveyancers and mortgage brokers in the UK. The awards are powered by the ESTAS online customer review platform, which enables property professionals to demonstrate the customer service standards they deliver for their clients.

ESTAS strict verification process ensures reviews are genuine. This year’s shortlist has been calculated following the evaluation of 300,000 customer review ratings.

The regional and national winners will be announced in October at the prestigious annual ESTAS ceremony held in London.  The awards will be presented by the UK’s favourite property expert Phil Spencer in front of 1,200 of the UK’s top property professionals.

Spencer said: “The ESTAS Awards are based on real feedback, from real clients experiencing real service so they provide genuine proof of the service levels that a firm is delivering to clients. Now more than ever, high quality customer service is crucial if home movers are going to realise their dream of getting the property they set their hearts on.”

Simon Brown, founder of ESTAS says: “At ESTAS we’re creating a community for best practice property professionals who all share a passion for delivering great service and a belief that service really does matter.”

Pinewood Managing Director, Stacey Davies-Bowler said “Once again we find ourselves shortlisted for these prestigious awards for the 5th year running, I have to pinch myself each time this happens and each time we come away with silverware. It makes me so proud that the team continue year on year to offer exceptional customer service to all our clients. Long may this continue.”

Pinewood Properties Acquires two new branches in North Derbyshire

Pinewood Property Estates have acquired local independent Estate Agent, Village Estates, who have two successful branches to add to Pinewood’s already successful two branches.

This extends Pinewood Property Estates into both Clay Cross and Clowne, adding to their branches in Chesterfield and Mansfield.

Pinewood’s Managing Director Stacey Davies-Bowler said: “This has been in the planning for two years, at one point we didn’t think it was going to happen, when the pandemic hit, we were just weeks away from completing as it struck, which put the brakes on everything. But I am very happy that we have now got it over the line for both Pinewood and Paul Bean, the owner of Village Estates, so he can now enjoy his retirement.”

Village Estates was founded in 1983 and has remained rock solid as a leading agent in both respective towns that the offices are located in. Paul has driven the ship for many years providing fabulous customer service to all their clients over the years. The branch locations are as close to a perfect fit for Pinewood, as all four will now create a diamond formation, given Pinewood perfect coverage of the Chesterfield and Mansfield areas.

Both agents are multi-disciplined, they both have strong sales portfolios, they both deal in land and they both deal with new builds. Pinewood already has a large rental portfolio with well over 1200 fully managed properties on their book, but with the acquisition of Village Estates this now adds an additional 350 managed properties to the portfolio.

Paul said: “I am over the moon to have found someone that is going to take the agency on and drive it forward to the next level. Both Stacey and I believe that this is going to be great success for everyone. I am particularly pleased that our staff have fully embraced the acquisition and even though the Village brand will change, overall the ethos of the business remains the same under the Pinewood banner, the future does look very bright.”

Now with three of the four Pinewood branches all in the Chesterfield area, with the forth just the other side of the M1 in Mansfield, Pinewood can cover a much wider are for the customer and client, a far more efficient service with a localised approach.

Chesterfield businesses urged to take advantage of government apprenticeship bonus scheme

Pinewood Property Estates Ltd and Chesterfield College are urging Derbyshire businesses to make the most of the government’s apprenticeship bonus scheme which launched earlier this month.

The scheme offers employers up to £4,000 for every apprentice recruited. It is designed to help businesses grow their team and provide opportunities for people to develop the skills they need to boost their careers.

Stacey Davies-Bowler, managing director at Pinewood Property Estates Ltd in Chesterfield, is a great advocate for apprenticeships. He is keen to highlight what benefits they bring, particularly with the availability of the apprenticeship incentive payment.

Stacey started his career as an apprentice and has helped many others to do the same.  As part of recent expansion plans, the business was keen to recruit a new apprentice along with other senior members of staff. They worked with Chesterfield College to explore the options open to them to find the perfect apprentice candidate. The apprenticeship bonus scheme was an added benefit for the organisation when they recruited Alberta, a Customer Service apprentice.

Stacey is keen to share his experiences as an employer of apprentices to encourage other small businesses to make the most of what the incentive scheme offers. He said:

“Without young people coming through, any industry gets stagnant. If companies are not giving young people a chance and supporting them to learn, they are going to find a huge void in their workforce and the skills they need. We have had great success with apprentices over the years and it is good to see young people develop in the organisation.

“In our business, an apprentice is not cheap labour. We have to invest a lot of time and effort into developing apprentices but we know we get a payback in the long term. We get someone who understands our business and our industry who then goes on to contribute to making a profit.

“The incentive scheme gives businesses who might be new to the apprenticeship process of developing their team a good opportunity to try it out. The bonus payment could potentially cover a third of an apprentice’s annual salary. For a small business this could offer a perfect way to give a young person a start to their career and develop an apprentice to become a valued member of their team.”

Leah Shortt, Apprentice Recruitment Manager at Chesterfield College said:

“We have been supporting local business like Pinewood Property Estates to grow their team through apprenticeships for many years. Now the new incentive scheme is available, we hope it will encourage more employers to explore how apprentices could benefit them.  We are here to help employers navigate their way through the apprenticeship landscape and access the incentive payments before the deadline. Our team of apprenticeship experts is on hand to help employers find the right apprenticeship programme, and the right candidate. Ultimately, this will support them to develop their future workforce and fill those critical skills gaps now and in the future.”
