New partnership announced by Redbrik to support young people in business

Chesterfield estate agent Redbrik has announced a unique and innovative partnership with football training academy EVO Soccer.

Each year, Redbrik will offer up to two apprenticeships and four work placement opportunities for EVO students, providing them with experience in sales, marketing, event management and business operations.

John Timms, Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10k Event Director, said: “We are delighted to be bringing the event back to Chesterfield for a third time in Spring next year.

“When we launched the 10k event back in 2021 it was with a view to deliver a fantastic race for both participants and the local community to engage with and enjoy. To have raised so much money for local charities is a wonderful legacy for the event and one that we are really proud of.

“As event organisers, we once again want to thank event sponsors and partners, and the wider community for their support.

“We also wish to thank our key partners, including Redbrik, as well as Chesterfield Borough Council.”

David Cooper, Trustee of the Redbrik Foundation, said: “We are very proud to support this event, which has so much goodwill from all involved. It has been great to give something back to the town, which has continually supported our estate agency business, Redbrik, since we opened over ten years ago.

“We love this town and we want to see it thrive. Events such as this help to do that, with huge numbers of people coming to Chesterfield from all parts of the country to support, contribute or take part. We can’t wait until 2024 already!”

Leader of Chesterfield Borough Council, Councillor Tricia Gilby, added: “We are delighted that the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K is being held next year. It is wonderful that the 10K has previously raised so much money for many great causes and we are proud to partner with the event in order to support the delivery of such a brilliant, community focussed event.

Chesterfield businesses share more festive joy with support for the local community

Businesses across Chesterfield have shared more festive joy in the run-up to Christmas.

From fabulous charity efforts to hosting a Santa’s grotto for our four-legged friends, here’s a taste of what our business community has been up to this December.

Find out more about some of the great festive initiatives carried out by our network of Chesterfield Champions here.

Banner Jones Solicitors donates to local foodbank

The staff at Chesterfield law firm Banner Jones have come together to collect their largest ever donation for the local foodbank, Gussie’s Kitchen – including toys, toiletries and tasty treats.

Set up in April 2016 and based in St Augustine’s Church in Chesterfield, Gussie’s aims to provide a friendly social space for communities to come together, meet new people and enjoy a tasty, low cost meal made using surplus food distributed by FareShare.

Due to demand within the community Gussie’s have expanded their services to now also act as a foodbank as well as offering seasonal clothing.

The supplies donated by Banner Jones will be handed out to members of the local community using the service this Christmas.

Ann-Marie Lowe, Banner Jones’ marketing manager, said: “Christmas is a wonderful time to get together and spend quality time with families and friends, but for many people it can be an extremely difficult time of year. Especially for those who are struggling financially.

“We are delighted to have collected so many items, and to have been able to support those who are less fortunate this festive season. We hope the gifts go some way to putting a smile on someone’s face this Christmas.”

Redbrik continues to support community with charitable donations

The Redbrik Foundation has recently donated over £3500 to organisations across Sheffield and Chesterfield.

Established in 2020, the Foundation supports several charitable organisations each year, primarily seeking to enhance the lives of children and young people, the elderly or vulnerable and those with disabilities.

The latest funds were presented to three organisations; Ashgate Hospice received a donation of £1368, £1000 was donated to The Sheffield Children’s Hospital snowflake appeal and the Foundation granted £1500 to Whirlow Hall Farm.

Funds raised by Redbrik colleagues at the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10k in October were donated exclusively to Ashgate Hospice in memory of colleague Kirstie Snape, as per the wishes of Kirstie’s family. In March 2021, Kirstie was sadly diagnosed with cancer, and after a brave fight with many highs and lows, she passed away in September this year.

The Sheffield Children’s Hospital snowflake appeal will contribute to building a helipad at the hospital to save vital minutes when every second counts for patients. Whirlow Hall Farm’s grant will provide alternative education programmes for vulnerable children and young people who cannot attend mainstream education due to a variety of medical needs, mental health issues and learning disabilities.

David Cooper, Redbrik Director and Trustee of the Redbrik Foundation, said: “We are delighted to provide support to all three incredible local charities, and we know first-hand the difference these donations will make in helping the organisations continue their work for the local community.

I am proud of each and every one of our Redbrik team who took part in the 10k to raise money for Ashgate Hospice in Kirstie’s memory, and I commend their dedication to fundraising during such a difficult time.”

The Redbrik Foundation has more to offer and would love to help fund more local charities. If your charity is interested in support from The Redbrik Foundation, contact David Cooper by email on david.cooper@redbrik.co.uk.

Redbrik Foundation donates £10k to local charities

Chesterfield-based estate agents, Redbrik has donated nearly £10,000 to six local charities.

Fairplay, St. Luke’s Hospice Sheffield, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Children’s Hospital Charity, Ashgate Hospice and Paces will benefit from the funds raised through the Redbrik Foundation.

After hosting and supporting many charity events over the years, the Redbrik Foundation was set up in 2020 to help children, young people, the elderly and those with disabilities in the Sheffield and Chesterfield areas.

Naturally, since the Foundation was set up in 2020, restrictions have limited the number of in-person fundraising events. However, Redbrik’s team came up with new ways to generate support for the Foundation and its charities at a time when they need it most.

The Redbrik Foundation has organised virtual events, and challenges and donations of Christmas presents to Sheffield Children’s Hospital two years running so that every patient receives a gift during the festive season.

The team tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge earlier this year, raising over £4,000, and held the very first – and very successful – Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10k in October 2021. In addition, donations were raised through a match funding initiative whereby clients of Redbrik are given the option to donate £25 to the Foundation, which the company then matches.

Redbrik Foundation Trustee, David Cooper, commented: “This is a proud moment for every one and thank you to anyone who has promoted, donated to or fundraised for the Foundation. One hundred per cent of all money raised is donated back out into the community to support the incredible work these organisations carry out every day.

“Rather than have a changing list of annual charity partners, we’ve decided instead that we’d rather have an ever-growing list of amazing charities to support, so watch this space!”

Redbrik named one of the best estate agents in the country at Best Estate Agent Guide

Redbrik has been named one of the top estate agents in the country, receiving the Gold Award for both Sales and Lettings in the Best Estate Agent Guide.

Over 15,000 estate agencies are included in the assessment conducted by the Property Academy and supported by the property portal, Rightmove. Very few agents receive the gold award for both Sales and Lettings services, and Redbrik is one of the only agents in our region to achieve this accolade.

The Best Estate Agent Guide is judged by an independent research team, creating and analysing over three billion data points, making it the biggest assessment of any industry.

Each branch of every agent in the UK is scored against a unique set of criteria looking at property marketing, customer service and results – which consumers consider to be among the most important criteria when selecting which agent to sell or let their property.

These are determined following a survey of 30,000 buyers, sellers, landlords and renters. The assessment uses a combination of data analysis, mystery shopping and a website review to identify the best agencies in the country.

Redbrik Managing Director, Mark Ross, said: “These awards follow a rigorous and independent assessment, and we are thrilled to have been recognised as among the best in the country.

“This is our fifth consecutive year being featured in the Best Estate Agent Guide. The guide has accredited us every year since it began, and we could not be prouder of how hard we have worked to receive the Gold Award in both categories this year.”

This year’s Best Estate Agent Guide results were announced on Wednesday 3rd November when 1,500 of the leading estate and letting agents and suppliers from across the UK gathered for the country’s most significant estate agency event, the EA Masters.

Peter Knight, Founder of the Property Academy, added: “We set out to provide the home mover with a reliable resource to help identify the best estate agent in each area, whether someone is looking to sell or let a property. Only the best branches make it into the Best Estate Agent Guide, and only the very best agencies have been recognised with an award.”

Home movers and landlords can search for the estate and letting agents that made the grade in their area by visiting bestestateagentguide.co.uk.
