Why not explore our most famous landmark by climbing up to the foot of the crooked spire and taking in the glorious North Derbyshire scenery? Or take a trip back in time at another one of our local landmarks, Hardwick Hall… They’re hosting a Festival of Archaeology for history lovers, and an open-air adventure cinema for families who want to enjoy a movie under the stars.

Has your child ever said they want to be an astronaut when they grow up? Get them exploring the wonders of outer space at the Chesterfield Observatory. The facility will be opening its doors on selected dates throughout the summer for you and the family to get a glimpse of the stars and planets.

For something more down-to-earth, you can see the glorious green countryside and hear the peaceful sounds of the birds whilst getting active on Chesterfield Canal! You’re able to hire out paddle sports equipment at Hollingwood Hub on Saturdays and Sundays over the summer, making a splash with your family!
