Chesterfield 1940s Market
Enjoy some classic entertainment as the Chesterfield 1940s Market returns.
Come along and shop in style. Local people and visitors to Chesterfield can enjoy themselves during the Easter holidays, with 40s music, entertainment, exhibits and meet the stall holders in period dress.
Easter Panto – Pinocchio
This year, Chesterfield Theatre’s Easter pantomime special is the hilarious story of Pinocchio.
Watch as they bring to life one of the most famous children’s books ever made and provide heartwarming entertainment for the whole family.
Tudor Exhibition
Get a first-hand look at life in the 16th Century. See what clothes were like, what activities they did back then, and how a Tudor surgeon would operate on patients!
Taking place daily across 2 weeks, there’s plenty of opportunity to pop in for an interactive history lesson. Plus for special entertainment such as their Tudor Surgeon or tasty Tudor treats, head to Hasland Village Hall on Saturday 5th or 12th April.
All aboard Puffin Billy
Queen’s Park’s very own miniature train, Puffin Billy, returns for the Easter holidays. Train rides begin at 10.30am on operating days, and the last ride of the day is at 4pm.
£2.50 per person, under 3s free. Cash only please. There’s no need to book, just come along to the station at Queen’s Park miniature railway to wait for your departure.
Please note, all miniature train operating days are weather permitting.
Easter Half Term at Chesterfield Market Hall
Take time for some Easter half term fun in our town centre. Search for the hidden egg baskets around the Market Hall and crack the secret word, to enter for the chance to win a delicious Easter egg. You can also create your very own Easter Bunny hand puppet, then enjoy a tasty treat and drink in the Market Hall Café.

Easter Egg-stravaganza at Matlock Farm Park
This Easter break, Matlock Farm Park has packed in the fun.
See all the usual animal and playtime fun of the farm park with wallaby encounters, small animal petting, and meerkat talks. Plus, join in their ongoing Easter Treasure Trail featuring mini-prizes and sheep & ferret races. There are even special entertainment days including Dinosaur Fun Day and The Big Bubbleman!
Easter Egg Hunt at Ringwood Hall
No need to set up or organise your own Easter entertainment. Ringwood Hall have you covered with a Mad Hatter’s Easter Egg Hunt.
Kids and adults are all encouraged to throw on some fancy dress and prepare for a mad hunt around the beautiful gardens of Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa.
